- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using the Aloha POS system or similar software.
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Assist in coordinating with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Support other front-of-house staff during peak hours to enhance guest services.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage with guests positively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
